telling a bi / queer person they’re not bi / queer because they haven’t slept with two genders is the same as telling a straight / gay virgin they have no sexuality because they haven’t fucked anyone yet
aka it makes no sense
so stop it
i think the disney company somehow forgot that you can make a character attractive AND expressiveIN 2D ANIMATION, YES. CGI IS MUCH DIFFERENT AND MUCH HARDER TO FORM DIFFERENT EXPRESSIONS AND FACES OH MY GOD
Please, don’t undermine the skills of modelers, riggers, and animators.
And two fun facts:
•The Incredibles was the first PIXAR film to feature humans to the scale that they did and I think they pulled off expressions on ALL their characters pretty damn well.
•Jessica Rabbit was hand inked, hand painted, and hand airbrushed on celluloid and manually composited into each scene, but they didn’t sacrifice how expressive she was just because animation is hard.
In which Meg grinds people’s ignorance into dust under her shoe and it’s beautiful.
Any good facial rig ought to be able to produce a wide range of emotional expression, as demonstrated by the examples above. Anyone who tries to claim that it’s harder to emote in CGI than in 2D either has a bad rig or isn’t trying.
Granted, you do have a bit more difficult of a time keeping expressions out of the uncanny valley in 3D, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossibly hard to produce good expressions.
omfg so I came back from camp today and I guess this fell out of my bag while I was unpacking

Awesome protests erupted in my school today. Our student council planned a “fun” game for valentines day. They handed out paper hearts to every girl at the beginning of the day. Only the girls. If a girl speaks to a guy through the duration of the day, she has to give him her heart. Guys get five raffle tickets for every heart they collect. Girls cannot collect hearts, they only have one to give away, and guys do not have to give away anything. A gay male asked for a heart to give away to participate and was told no.
Some girls have taken this as an invitation to say things such as, quoted from twitter, “keeping the whores from talking today haha.” And boasting about “keeping their heart and not being a whore.” This has turned into an excuse to shame each other for talking to guys. And for what? A valentines game?
Rather than writing their names on the hearts and giving them away, many girls have written notes of protest on the paper hearts and are wearing them proudly as they associate with whoever they please and refuse to give the heart away.
Proud of some of the people in my school today.
males are rewarded for collecting female “hearts” and are encouraged to collect as many as they possibly can, but females are only allowed to have one heart to give away, and when they give it away they’re not allowed to play anymore
the correlation of “hearts” to how virginity/sex is treated in society is kind of eerie and definitely sexist
today these two kids in my math class were hitting each other with pencils and my teacher glared at them and said “could you try to be a little more mature?”
one of them screamed “TAXES” and punched the other kid in the face
last year this kid had some water damage on this math textbook and when he turned it in at the end of the year the teacher asked him how it had gotten it wet and he looked her straight in the eye and said “from my tears”
